About Christian Resource Centre International

Christian Resource Centre has a history of creatively using technology to make resources available to churches and believers bringing the Gospel to bear in New Zealand and internationally.

In late 1966, being at the cutting edge of technology meant tape recording, and CRC was struggling to get around New Zealand licensing law, which made it impossible for them to pay to bring the necessary tapes into the country. As supplies for 1967 looked bleak, God prompted a Californian mission organization to send an unrequested gift of tapes, the only way of bypassing import restrictions. These tapes were used to record and distribute programmes on everything from science to the Psalms.

Four decades on, technology has evolved, and with the spread of the internet, the opportunities for good content to be seen and heard by wide audiences have never been greater. Churches and other Christian groups have become increasingly sophisticated at recording and producing their own audio and video content.

What has been missing is a simple way for this content to be made available online for a New Zealand audience, and a single place where good Christian content from a range of New Zealand sources can be found.

We believe that God has been prompting again...
